KNAUTIA - Mars Midget
Description:
Maroon flowers, a rarity among perennial plants. Flowers about 30 mm in diameter. Begins flowering early July in our garden. A dwarf form of Knautia macedonica, much prefer this dwarf variety, I find the flower stems of the regular species to get stretched, twisted and floppy. Easy from seed. Seems to grow best for us in partial shade. Hardy zone 4 maybe 3. Height of 40 cm, spread 30 cm.
