The Victoria Lady Fern (Athyrium filix-femina Victoriae) is known as the queen of the ferns because it was dedicated to Queen Victoria in 1861, on account of the branches on the fronds forming a 'V' shape. Each frond is terminated in a crest. The height and spread are 40-50 cm. It is an exquisitely beautiful plant, which will grow in sun or shade, in moist or dry conditions.
