The Dianthus Fire Star, Dianthus 'Fire Star' (PPAF), has vibrant red flowers with a dark red eye with evergreen grey-green foliage. This plant blooms the best in the early summer however will rebloom in the fall if deadheaded. It is truly a great addition to any perennial garden and is a favorite as a border plant or in rock gardens. First Love Opens white changes to medium pink and then to dark pink.
