Genus of 60 to 70 species of perennial plants with green leaves. They grow in full sun or part shade, in moist, well-drained, fertile soils.
Plant in rock gardens, in arrangements and flowerpots. Deep red, spurred flowers in May and June. Tri-lobed grey green leaves. Height 30 to 60cm. Spread 30cm.
