Description:
A superior vine that produces intensely fragrant flowers on nearly carefree plants. This native of Europe provides excellent wildlife habitat as well as garden beauty. Flowers profusely in spring with abundant red, pinkish-maroon and cream blossoms to draw butterflies and hummingbirds with their nectar. Flowers yield to bright red-purple berries that hang on late into the season to feed migrating birds. Foliage is gray green and may become evergreen in mild climates but deciduous elsewhere. Full sun to part shade and even moisture. Fast growth to 15 or 20 feet.
