SPRUCE DWARF SERBIAN 10 GAL
Description:
We shear our "Dwarf Serbian Spruce" into a tight globe, but if left unsheared, it will develop into a very broad compact pyramid. Like the species, 'Nana' sports the green needles on top and blue needles on bottom, which produces a beautiful bicolor effect. Since its introduction in Holland in 1930, this dwarf spruce selection has been very popular, and increasingly so in the United States in recent years. Landscapers are attracted to its rapid growth and hardiness. Its rapid growth when young is due to the tendency for all of its numerous buds to break. Thus, in one year, it can nearly double in size.
